Dare to be different; NW eccentrics

By Stephanie LaCour

This year’s Misfit Manifesto auditions were held on April 7 and 8 in the Little Theatre.

The theme of Misfit Manifesto this year is “Eccentrics of the Northwest.”

Students auditioning were asked to perform short monologues. The judges advised the students that they were looking for “Acting without speaking” inclining they not only wanted actors that could perform well verbally, but also actors who had a “stage presence.”

The monologues were written by students of Peninsula College, previously submissions of scenes were submitted by March 8.

Peninsula College Drama Professor Lara Starcevich oversaw the auditions and she is the main director behind Misfit Manifesto. The performance takes place on June 3, 4, 10, and 11.
