Following a third-place finish at the Northwest Athletic Conference Championships, the Peninsula women’s soccer team and Head Coach Kanyon Anderson are restocking a team that has won five-straight division championships.

Anderson has already signed 14 players for next season.

“Overall this group has a very balanced feel to it,” Anderson said.  “We have talented attackers, midfielders, defenders and goal keepers.”

The most recent signings are Jazmin Ramos, a midfielder from Thousand Oaks, Calif.

“Jazmin is a very skilled and tactical midfielder,” Anderson said.  “She played for one of the top teams on the West Coast—Eagles FC ECNL (elite clubs national league).

“She is going to help us move the ball quickly and she is going to set the table for our talented striker group.”

Natalie Carreon from Highlands, Calif.

“Natalie is a goal keeper with a developed skill set and the size to succeed at the college level,” Anderson said.  “She plays for the Inland Empire Surf club and should make an immediate impact.”

Akari Hoshino from Japan.

“Akari is a very technically talented goal keeper,” Anderson said.  “She has excellent hands and plays exceptionally well with her feet.

“We are excited to add her to our roster as she will bring the skill level up to an even high level than it currently is.”

The other 11 signees include: Malia Brudvick, a defender from Auburn, Wash.; Emilee Greve, a midfielder from Auburn, Wash.

Tatiana Hagan, a midfielder from Reno, Nev.

Kelly Kevershian, a striker from Tuscon, Ariz.

Janya Morikawa, a midfielder from Mililani, Hawaii.

Maddy Parton, a stiker from Leavenworth, Wash.

Sarah Reiber, a midfielder from Yakima, Wash.

Emelie Small, a defender from Reno, Nev.

Isabel Vega, a defender from Reno, Nev.

Andrea Villalvazo, a midfielder from Reno, Nev.; And Sydney Warren, a forward from Maple Valley, Wash.

“Every year is different and each team has their own identity so much of what we will be in a mystery,” Anderson said. “I do know, however, that we have the talent and character needed to succeed.”
