Students should start gearing up for monologues as the Peninsula College Drama Department prepares for its winter production.
Drama Department head Laura Starcevich said, “We are preparing for our Winter Quarter, annual production of the Find Your Voice Play Festival. This year’s show will feature a series of monologues.”
Strcevich provided the prompts and guidelines for the festival.
The prompts include, “‘I’ve never told anyone, but I’m going to tell you,’ ‘When
I was 10. . .,’ and ‘No one could believe how many marbles could fit into a coffin.’”
Submissions should be no longer than seven minutes, and up to three monologues can be made by one person. Poems that can be read as monologues can also be submitted.
Submission details and venue will be announced on a later date.
The deadline for submissions is Jan 13, by 11:59 pm, 2017. Selections will be announced by Jan 31, 2017.
The performances are scheduled for March 6, 7, and 8, 2017.
