Ping Pong is not just a sport of reflexes, but also strategy. Consistently hitting the ball on one side of the table, then quickly returning the ball on the opposite side can fool your opponent, and is one of many tricks used by the players to rise to the top.

Feb. 22 in the PUB, 16 of Peninsula College’s finest ping pong players dueled it out in an ultimate battle of skill and wit.

The matches were played in a tournament based style, with losers eliminated one by one until the last players battled it out in a final match.

Ping Pong is a common activity in the PUB building after classes and most of these competitors had long been practicing with their peers, making the competition amicable but ruthless, especially as the players narrowed in number.

Ultimately, the winner of the final match, Frank Holder, won a close but decisive battle, awarded with a gift card to the Pirate Café and bragging rights for all future PUB ping pong games till next tourney.
