Shedding light on the soccer field

Recently Peninsula College has undergone a big change to its soccer field in which a series of 70+ foot tall light posts have been constructed around the perimeter.
Using excavators to dig a solid foundation to settle the light posts, workers began using a tall crane to lift the posts into position. This was done in advance to the poles arriving, with prior surveying and measurements taken also.
For public safety, the construction workers insisted on maintaining a 80 foot distance from the poles and a recommendation of avoiding the area until construction was completed, as the construction process involved for these poles was done with large cranes, proper safety equipment, and further stabilization of the poles in the dug out areas.
The poles can be seen from quite a distance away and make the soccer field easy to locate across campus, especially for people new to campus visiting for a soccer game.
These new lights were first used in some of the games this season, during a particularly rainy and dark night, these new lights shone very brightly onto the field, making gameplay more visible for the audience, as well as visual communication easier to players.
The weather conditions provided an opportunity to prove the usefulness of the new lights, which have already helped out visually during this soccer season.Also allowing the audiences present during the games to better spectate the games.
