Student Journalists are learning to be guardians of the First Amendment. 
Trifecta of educational values: Student journalists use research and reporting knowledge and electronic skills to create compelling content.
In learning consequential skills employed in reporting history on the run and providing information to our communities, the Buccaneer reporters have amassed more than 150 regional and national awards in the Peninsula College’s student newspaper’s 60-year history. More than 45 of the awards were in the last 20 years. Former Buc staff employ skills learned, in leadership, team management and writing for persuasion in their careers.
