By Jamila Lopez
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Port Angeles Food Bank is open and operating a drive-thru and walk-up distribution open to all Clallam County residents. At this time, you do not need to qualify or provide any paperwork.

Hours and location are:
Wednesday and Friday 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
LOCATED AT 402 S. VALLEY STREET, PORT ANGELES, WA 98362.

Emergency boxes contain pantry items, fresh or shelf-stable milk, produce, bread and meat if they have it. In addition to the drive-thru, they have a walk-up area. Those with little to no cooking facilities will receive a weekly bag of food that requires minimal preparation or cooking.

Appointments are not required but preferred. If you would like to make an appointment, visit https://www.portangelesfoodbank.org. They are offering limited delivery. If you are a regular Clallam Transit Para-transit rider, you may schedule your appointment a day in advance and let your driver know when it is. The Paratransit driver will come and pick up your food for you and deliver it.

Please remember, “spreading a virus is new territory for all of us. The Port Angeles Food Bank is actively engaged with the Clallam County Emergency Operations Center and the County Health Department to be sure we safely meet the mission of Nourishing Our Community.”
