Racing against time! Puzzle solving with a twist

By Zach Wakefield

On a table covered with blood stains laid multiple locked boxes, different colored vials, with a race against the clock.
It’s something you often see in an action movie, with a group of heroes using clues to solve an impossible task before time runs out. With escape rooms, anyone can live out those tense movie moments as well as testing their logic in a fun and exciting way.
On November 14, Peninsula College ASC hosted three differently themed escape rooms, from defusing a bomb to patient zero, a dark and eerie zombie infection room.
Participants start in the room frantically searching for the numerous clues and objects in the room, whose codes and meanings eventually lead to solving other puzzles until the room is completed, all within a time limit of 30 minutes.
Groups of five or more could participate and even challenge each others times as a great way to strengthen their brains and enjoy the thrill of completing each room as fast as possible.
