Pirate men win NWAC Championship

Pirate men won the Northwest Athletic Conference Championship in a tough game against Tacoma Community College.
Pirates Chungwan Lee scored the first goal in the 30th minute with a header; however, at the 84th minute, Tacoma Community College player Jesus Flores De Santiago answered by evening the score 1-1.
At the end of the regular 90 minutes tied, the championship game went into two overtimes leading to a shootout.

Pirate Hide Inoue’s shot got a diving block to the left. TCC Masa Fukushima missed, shooting high. Pirate Chungwan Lee shot bounced off the crossbar. Pirate goalie Evan Scholes anticipated TCC Gilbert De La Luz’s shot with a block. Then, Pirate Yuya Yamamoto scored finding the back of the net. Pirate Scholes again blocked TCC Jesus Flores De Santiago’s shot. Pirate Mason Haubrich rotated in and scored in the upper right corner. TCC Luka Cecic scored to the left when Scholes dove to the right.
Pirates Edgar Tavares drilled into the left corner, bringing the team a win.
