The Winter Ice Village is open seven days a week through January 2020, in the heart of downtown Port Angeles.
From families to friends, couples to colleagues, everyone seemed to be enjoying a day of ice skating surrounded with festive lights and music of the season.
Visiting in the evening, the entire rink was lit up making downtown feel magical and spectacular.
Once you step on the ice you can’t help but to glide around for an hour or two, taking selfies with family and friends, enjoying the scene.
The rink is very small, and while they didn’t have mine or my son’s skate size, having to choose a size larger the skates were surprisingly comfortable.
After a couple minutes with the wind against your back, it starts to feel like flying. I loved seeing the children swoosh by and the happy smiles.
I have to say the best part of it all for myself was topping the night off with the best hot coco I’ve ever had. Dressed in sprinkles, marshmallows, chocolate chips, and crushed candy cane for a very reasonable price.
I really enjoyed my time and plan to revisit with my family and friends again soon.
