Being a college student has advantages that some are unaware of.
With your student ID card most Peninsula College events are free to attend, or have a significant discount.
There is also a large number of big corporations that offer discounts, freetrials and free products with purchase of another product.
Peninsula College will provide every student with a .eduu email address that will get you the discounts that each company offers.
Adobe offers 60% off all of their products.
Amazon offers a free 6 month trial of Amazon Prime and 50% off after the trail period. Amazon also offers free 2 day shipping during the first 6 months.
According to Consumer Reports, Dell, HP, Microsoft, Sony, Apple and Best Buy are among companies that offer student discounts as well.
What about in Port Angeles though? One business that offers a local student discount is Laurel Lanes.
According to Tami
Russell, an employee at Laurel lanes, student pay $3.00 per game, and $2.75 for shoe rental.
They offer group discounts for groups of 6 or more students as well. The group rate is $2.75 per student, per game, and that includes shoe rental.
Some car insurance companies like Gieco and Nationwide offer lower rates for students and most major phone companies like T-Mobile and AT&T do as well.
Before shopping or ordering anything new, check to see if there is a student discount.
